Welcome to Center for Health & Gender Equality (CHANGE)

CHANGE’s programs address women's issues through protection from domestic and gender-based violence, healthcare, career training and education. In addition to being the focus of our work, women take on leadership roles both within our organization and as local partners and beneficiaries. CHANGE has a proud history of commitment to women’s issues since its founding and inception. Women leadership is an expert on gender and health programs, especially affecting women in less privileges areas of Pakistan. CHANGE programs employ a variety of strategies to promote gender equity and women’s empowerment in the target areas. CHANGE includes gender considerations in each of our programs during design and implementation by accounting for cultural norms, family structures, and gender roles.

CHANGE improves youth well-being around its working localities with programming that support training for peace and leadership skills under peace building and governance project.  The youth improving also strengthening by conducting program activities included a variety of sports, arts, and life skills programs, including athletic competitions, poetry festivals, art exhibits, drama, peace camps, and public debates. These activities encouraged community members to develop positive relationships and overcome ethnic and religious differences. CHANGE defines capacity building as a coordinated, participatory process that engages individuals, organizations, and communities to develop and strengthen skills that increase their self-sufficiency. Community-based organizations with capacity design, manage, deliver, evaluate, and sustain targeted programs that improve the quality of life of the most marginalized groups.

  • Fosters direct linkages and input from local communities to local government.
